Care Training Courses

Dealing with work based violence / conflict management

Violence and conflict in the workplace is an issue for many organisations. It is the obligation of all employers to train staff to deal with any situations which may be reasonably foreseeable in their normal work duties. We can tailor these courses to your organisations particular needs, and are currently teaching to national NOS standards and are approved trainers in conflict resolution by the NHS National syllabus.

We can teach conflict management (psychology, theory of aggression) on its own or blend it with Physical Intervention training but we do recommend that staff undertaking Physical intervention training have undergone conflict management training in the past. Before commencing any training we sit down with clients to design a specific programme that meets all their needs. In the past we have delivered a series of bespoke programmes in NHS settings, Care homes, schools, Universities. Our Trainers are acknowledged experts in this field and we have MAYBO lead trainers within our team a fact that we are very proud of.

Past programmes we have delivered include:

Personal safety, Self Defence, Control and Restraint, Positive Handling, Dealing with Difficult Behaviour, Anger Management, Assertiveness, Assertiveness for women. Positive Handling for Foster carers. As well as the outlined programmes we can assist your organisation by conducting training needs analysis and tailoring a course specifically addressing any identified skills gaps.
