Epilepsy Awareness
Aims:
To train participants to have an awareness of Epilepsy it’s various forms and treatments.

- Treatments and their uses
- How to risk assess clients
- Best practise guidance
Target Audience:
This course is ideal for anyone who has to care for and work with Clients who have Epilepsy .It examines a range of appropriate responses for the safe management of Epilepsy.
Course Content:
- What is epilepsy
- Current treatments and their uses
- Classification of seizures
- Assessing the risk
- Managing seizures
- Status epilepticus
- Triggers and precipants
- Anti epileptic drugs
Commentary:
This course is a half day programme that can also incorporate anaphylaxis. It is designed and delivered in line with current best practise guidance and joint Epilepsy Council guidelines. The course its running times and syllabus can be modified and tailored to meet any specific client needs.
