Target Audience:

This course is ideal for anyone who has to care for and work with Clients who have Epilepsy .It examines a range of treatments and appropriate responses for the safe management and treatment of Epilepsy.

  • What is Epilepsy
  • Current treatments and their uses
  • Classification of Seizures
  • Assessing the risk
  • Managing Seizures
  • Status Epilepticus
  • Triggers and precipants
  • Anti epileptic drugs, appropriate doses
  • Rectal Diazepam ,uses ,side effects
  • What is Buccal Medazolam
  • Buccal Medazolam Administration

Commentary:

This course is aimed at those who support epilepsy sufferers, and includes the assessment of Buccal administration to enable candidates to support and manage sufferers safely.
